ABOUT CROCKER'S BOAT YARD
Sturgis Crocker, son of the well-known designer, Sam Crocker, and his wife, Eileen, established Crocker’s Boat Yard in 1946. The yard is now operated by Sturgis’ grandson, Skip Crocker. Crocker’s is located just north of Boston on one of the most beautiful and protected harbors on the North Shore, Manchester-By-The-Sea.
When Sturgis started the yard, he built wooden boats to his father’s designs along with providing some storage and maintenance. Over time, the focus of the business turned towards repair and maintenance. Crocker’s has a long history of maintaining wooden boats, but we have the talent and facilities for any job - wood, fiberglass, power or sail. Although we haven't built a boat in some time, we still remain a full-service yard, specializing in repair, maintenance, storage, refits and restoration of boats of all sizes.
At Crocker’s, we combine years of tradition and experience with modern practices to provide the best quality craftsmanship and service possible. Our staff, while on board your boat, keeps a careful eye out for any potential problems. We do a thorough inspection of all systems at decommissioning so we may bring any concerns to your attention and address them in the off-season. The work performed by our staff is a testament to their skill and commitment to high quality standards.
Through our years of experience, we can tell you that routine maintenance and service will provide you with a trouble-free season on the water, allowing you, your family and your crew more confidence and enjoyment on the water. If you are looking for the best for your boat, come see us. |
